The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for our web site.
When you visit the eLEDGER web site, you can expect to be notified of:
We suggest that you practice reasonable discretion with any site when providing site operators / owners with personal information. It should also be noted that whenever you post personal information in publicly accessible places such as chat rooms or message boards, this information becomes available to anyone with access to the Internet. Therefore, we recommend that you refrain from posting any information that you do not want seen in these public areas.
You should feel free to contact any site that requests personal information from you if you have any questions regarding its policies. If you have any questions about this privacy statement, the practices of this site or your dealings with this web site, contact us.
At different times, eLEDGER may collect two types of information about you.
First, we may use a feature of your browser called a "cookie" to assign identification to your computer. The cookie automatically identifies your computer - but not you - to our servers every time you visit our site. Cookies, by themselves, cannot be used to find out the identity of any user. Unless you specifically tell us, we will never know who you are, even when we assign your computer a cookie. You can turn the cookie's feature off by using your browser preference options - the only purpose they would serve on our website is to keep you logged in from session to session.
Second, we keep track of your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to help protect your account and our servers against fraudulent access.
eLEDGER takes the SPAM ACT 2003 very seriously and will NOT send you unsolicited emails - in fact the only reason you will receive an email from us will be specifically related to user account administration and OPT-IN progress updates.
eLEDGER is not the only organisation which collects any information on its website. The search engines Google and Bing as well as Facebook collect purely statistical data on how many visitors are viewing certain sections of the front page, in order to give us a better understanding of the performance of these front pages.
There is NO access to any information, once you are beyond the Login screen, to ANY third parties, whatsoever.
Whenever eLEDGER collects data, it is intended to improve the experience of visitors to our site and enhance the integrity of the service. The primary use of the data collected is to provide and verify contact details for users and organisations using the eLEDGER application - this includes preventing fraudulent activity and preventing loss of important user data.
eLEDGER will NOT disclose any of your personal information to a third party without your consent, unless specifically compelled to do so by legal authorities within the jurisdiction of the Commonwealth of Australia.
Period.
You can send an email to support@ eledger. com. au for deletion from eLEDGER records.
eLEDGER has taken measures to ensure that information can only be altered by a user who has initially verified their contact details and every alteration to our records are time-stamped and also tagged with details of the user who modified it. Only after a password has been entered and verified can any modifications be made.
As an additional safeguard, our records are automatically backed up and data from those backups can be restored, as required.
eLEDGER contains links to other sites not affiliated with eLEDGER. These sites have their own policies and practices with respect to online privacy, and eLEDGER cannot be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these unaffiliated web sites.
